New Members

Dear New Member,

On behalf of the Membership Committee we welcome you and we’re happy that you have joined our University Synagogue community!  Whatever the personal reasons that inspired you to choose our congregation, University Synagogue provides you an opportunity to enhance your Jewish education, make new friendships, strengthen bonds and participate in as much of our programming as your time allows.

Although our personal contact has been limited due to Covid-19, we now look forward to the coming year returning us to our traditional activities.

Wherever your interests lie, whenever you’re ready in the coming year you will have the opportunity to take advantage of our many programs.  We provide Shabbat and holiday services, a Religious School, a Pre-school, a Summer camp and Adult Education.   Our members enjoy our social groups (Havurot) organized demographically for families, couples and singles.  Additionally, there are groups focused on a single interest such as walking & hiking, theater arts, food and book groups to name but a few.  Our committees offer an opportunity for involvement and enjoyable events.  Our Women’s Connection Committee presents entertaining and informative events, while our Men’s Club provides camaraderie and community projects.  The Tikkun Olam Committee promotes social action that inspires and our Membership Committee helps facilitate involvement in synagogue life for both newer and more longstanding members.

One of our dedicated volunteers from the Membership Committee will contact you periodically to ensure that University Synagogue is meeting your interests and needs.  I encourage you to contact me if you have any issues or questions regarding your membership.
